Reims achieved promotion to the Ligue 1 after winning the second tier club competition in France last season.

L’Equipe claims David Guion’s side are planning to strengthen their attack for the new season and have studied the profiles of several players. One that looks ambitious is that of Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon.

Since 2013, the Brazilian has spent time away on loan as he had temporary spells at Malaga, Vitese Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt, Reading and Fulham. During the last season, he scored four goals and had five assists in 23 league appearances for the Cottagers.

The 24-year-old’s ability to play on either side of the attack has attracted Reims and the report claims they are now studying the ‘feasibility’ of signing the player on loan.

Piazon has one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and L’Equipe’s report does not mention if Chelsea would be willing to sanction another loan move or will they keep him at the club.
