Leicester City are reportedly keen on signing Stefano Sensi in the winter market and Enzo Maresca has already revealed that he likes the Inter Milan player.

Three days ago, FcInterNews stated there’s a pause in negotiations between the two clubs and the Foxes could consider signing him in the summer, when he’ll be available on a free transfer.

There seems to be progress made in the deal to take the 28-year-old to Leicester this month if the latest report from Gianluca Di Marzio is to be believed.

He says Leicester and Inter have ‘reached an agreement’ for the midfielder’s transfer in a deal worth €2m, linked to the number of appearances he will make and the English club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Maresca’s side are currently leading the Championship table and are seven points ahead of second placed Ipswich Town.

Despite the two clubs agreeing a deal, Gianluca Di Marzio says the Italy international can’t make a switch to the King Power Stadium just yet.

The journalist adds the Foxes will ‘need to sell’ another player first, to formalise Sensi’s transfer. Once this is sorted out, the midfielder’s move to Leicester should go through.
