Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez made headlines in Spain last season, with his impressive performances.

The 27-year-old has 19 goals and 11 assists to his name in 39 appearances over the past campaign, and reports in Spain suggest some of the biggest clubs in Europe could be after his signature.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Atletico Madrid, AS Monaco, Barcelona, Leicester City, and Sevilla are interested in signing Perez this summer.

Recently his agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, revealed several clubs are interested in signing him, but there are no concrete offers yet.

Deportivo very much seem to like the idea of selling him this summer, after sporting director Richard Barral admitted it’d be “understandable” to sell him, if the player received an “irresistible offer”.

“Lucas is a born Deportivista, who had to leave La Coruna at the time to make a living, he has returned to his home, has triumphed, and is loved by his fans.

“His intention is to stay. We can go where we want to. He is pleased by the renewal offer that is made, but if there is something irresistible from elsewhere, it is understandable if he accepts.”

Perez signed for Deportivo permanently at the start of the season in a €1.5m deal, after spending the last season on loan at the Spanish club.

Maybe Deportivo see this as a good opportunity to make a good profit on Perez, but it remains to be seen if Leicester are genuinely interested in signing the player.
