Leicester City forward Rachid Ghezzal is playing the role of agent in an attempt to get new club Beşiktaş to sign striker Guido Carrillo.

That’s according to Fotospor, who say the striker is desperate to leave Spain after his move there in the summer.

Ghezzal joined Beşiktaş on loan from Leicester City in the last market after it was made clear he was not part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans.

It’s the second straight loan spell for the forward, who spent last season at Fiorentina and has been a major flop since joining the Foxes in a £12.6m deal from AS Monaco in 2018.

Like with Leicester, the Algerian does not have fond memories of the Ligue 1 club, having managed just two goals and four assists for them in 35 games.

That hasn’t stopped him looking to reunite with a former teammate from the club in Carillo.

Fotospor explained that he presented a ‘surprise proposal’ to the Turkish club, revealing that Carrillo had told him he wasn’t happy at new club Elche.

According to Ghezzal, the striker is even willing to come on a ‘free test service‘ – we’re assuming that means trial basis – if need be.

Whether Beşiktaş are interested isn’t mentioned, but it’s stated that should Ghezzal’s proposal be ‘welcomed’ by the club, they will ‘start initiatives’ to sign the striker.
