As Leicester City and AS Roma prepare to face each other in the UEFA Europa Conference League, the Italian media comes up with a suggestion of another subject these two clubs could soon be involved in.

Outlet AS Roma Live features a piece claiming that with José Mourinho needing a new right-back in the squad, the Giallorossi could turn up with a proposal for Ricardo Pereira.

Pointing out that the 28-year-old was previously linked to Roma and is compatriot to their manager, he could improve the position also ‘in terms of experience’.

The Serie A side would just have one problem to get that deal done, which is Pereira’s price, as he’s valued between €25m and €30m. That’s why the solution would be the inclusion of another player, which is Jordan Veretout.

It’s said the midfielder seems to be leaving Roma this summer, and with a price of around €20m, there could be an attempt for a swap.

With the piece sounding much more like an assumption than actual talks between the clubs right now, we shall see how far this story goes before the summer.
