The Italian press are pretty optimistic today about Yohan Benalouane’s move from Leicester City to Parma.

As newspaper Tuttosport writes about the many signings that the newly promoted side are making this summer, they claim that the club are ‘one step away’ from a deal for the defender.

The outlet just doesn’t make it clear how much will Parma pay for the player, even though they take the arrival as ‘imminent’.

Benalouane, who made only five appearances for the Foxes last season, is said to be ‘ready to leave’ the club this summer.

The 31-year-old was signed from Atalanta back in 2015 on a €7m deal. He stayed at Leicester for six months, and was loaned to Fiorentina, where he spent the the rest of the 2015/16 season.

Now after failing to impress in two other seasons for the Foxes, it seems he won’t have another chance at the club. His current deal runs until 2019.

This comes after Gazzetta dello Sport mentioned the interest on Wednesday, but Tuttosport seem to think it’s far closer to being done than their counterparts.
