After Bordeaux’s interest in Yohan Benalouane, it’s Parma’s turn to have a look at the Leicester defender.

The newly promoted Serie A side are desperately going around trying to make some last minute additions to their squad ahead of a tough season with their transfer window closing on Friday at 8pm local time.

Once linked with Mario Balotelli, which always seemed like a pipe dream, the once great Italian side are now trying to find some depth for their team, and the Leicester City defender is on their list.

Far from Claude Puel’s plans, the Tunisia international would need little to no time to adapt to Italian football, having played in Italy for the vast majority of his career prior to his (in hindsight) ill-advised move to the Premier League.

Furthermore, he would be returning to a club he knows well, having spent two seasons there between 2012-14, during which he made 27 appearances for the club.

At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if Leicester handed him over for the smallest of fees, but we’re sure they’ll want some money back since they originally paid £6.3m for his services back in 2015.
