Leeds United midfielder Liam Bridcutt has again been left out of the Scotland squad for this month’s internationals. Despite the form of the 27-year-old the Leeds United star has again been overlooked by Scotland manager Gordon Strachan.
Strachan has confirmed his squad for the friendly with Canada followed by the World Cup Qualifier against Slovenia, as Scotland look to qualify for Russia 2018. The Leeds United captain missed the last internationals due to injury, but he would have been hoping he could make the squad this time round after missing just one league game since mid-December.
Bridcutt’s performances for Leeds United last season earned him a recall to the Scotland squad, and he was involved in the 1-0 win over Denmark last year, after a 3-year absence from the international scene.
In the last summer window Bridcutt sealed a permanent contract with Leeds United and the former Sunderland player signed a two-year deal with the club.
