According to regional newspaper Denizli Gazetesi, Leeds United have sent an ultimatum to Denizlispor over unpaid instalments in Hadi Sacko’s transfer fee.
The Turkish Super Lig club signed Sacko from the Championship side at the start of the season after his impressive loan spell with Ankaragucu last season.
However, the Aegean side are experiencing financial difficulties at the moment and they couldn’t pay a €25K instalment to Leeds United in time.
Subsequently Leeds United have demanded the payment from Denizlispor and Denizli Gazetesi report the Turkish club hope to pay this fee in the next few days.
It’s also claimed Denizlispor didn’t manage to pay Reading loanee Modou Barrow’s wages on time and as a result the player walked out of the club’s training camp, before returning to Denizli after the issue was solved.
Denizlispor agreed to pay €500K to Leeds United to sign Sacko last summer, and the player has made 19 appearances for the club this season, scoring two goals.
