Elia Caprile is set to leave Leeds United this summer, with TMW reporting an ‘agreement in principle’ has been reached for the player’s departure.
The goalkeeper joined Leeds United in January 2020 and in August 2021 he was sent on loan to Serie C club Pro Patria, where he made his professional debut and was a regular.
At 20 years-of-age it would appear he doesn’t want to give up the chance of playing regular football, so won’t be hanging around at Elland Road.
TMW say the youngster, who came through the youth system at Chievo Verona, is set to move to the Puglia region and sign for Bari.
Bari finished first in Serie C last season, securing themselves promotion to Serie B. That will allow Caprile to play at a higher level during the next campaign and is likely part of the reason why he’s been tempted to make the move.
TMW say the information originally came from Sky Italia, and this time it will be a full transfer rather than another loan deal, although there’s no indication given on price.
Caprile’s contract with Leeds was set to run until June 2024.
