Leeds United are in the mix to sign RC Lens’ Seko Fofana after the end of this season.

The midfielder joined the Ligue 1 side from Udinese in 2020 and established himself at Lens. He has captained them in the majority of league games this season, managing three goals and three assists from 15 matches.

Fofana’s performances convinced Lens to offer him a new deal in August and his contract now runs until 2025.

Despite signing an extension, there is a ‘strong possibility’ the 27-year-old will leave the club after this season. That’s according to Media Foot, who name Leeds United as one of his suitors.

The report focuses on Nice and AS Monaco interest in the Ivory Coast international. It’s claimed these two French clubs have positioned themselves and have already planned to move with an offer to sign him next summer.

Nice and Monaco will be joined by Jesse Marsch’s side as Media Foot state Leeds are also on the spot for Fofana. That’s all the report has to say about the Whites.
