Haberturk report Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli spent the weekend in France to watch some of the Istanbul club’s summer targets, including Leeds United linked forward Florian Aye.

It’s reported the Comolli travelled to France to get on a lowdown on Clermont Foot’s Aye and Mathias Pereira Lage during their side’s clash with Chateauroux.

According to Haberturk, Fenerbahce may make an offer for Aye, but they could expect competition from Leeds United and others to sign the 22 year old.

Leeds should probably be in the market for a forward this summer after missing out on promotion to the Premier League, and Aye would be a reasonably low cost opportunity.

The 22 year old striker joined Clermont from Auxerre last summer and has managed to impress in his debut season with the Ligue 2 club.

This season Aye has scored 17 goals in 35 appearances for the French side and he’s contracted to them until June 2021.
