According to a claim in the German media, Leeds United forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga is determined to be involved in the game with Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

The 25 year old is currently in Germany following the birth of his first daughter.

Bild have reported Lasogga is still looking to play in the top of the table clash against Cardiff City next week, despite returning to his home country after Leeds United’s victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Lasogga had initially travelled to back to Germany by private jet on Friday evening due the birth of his daughter. However, the German forward still played a key role in Leeds United’s win at the weekend, and he hopes to do likewise when they take on Cardiff City on Tuesday evening.

The player joined Leeds United on loan from Hamburg in the last window, and has impressed in his first four league games for the Championship side. Lasogga has already scored three goals for his new club, and has also provided two assists.

With just goal difference separating Leeds United from third placed Cardiff City, the Elland Road faithful will be hoping he’s available for the game at the Cardiff City stadium.
