The latest twist in the ongoing Harry Kane saga is seen as ‘typical’ from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who ‘wants to be in total control’ of the situation.

That’s according to BILD, who say the cancellation of a meeting between the two clubs today was not a surprise for anyone involved.

They explain that Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and squad planner Marco Neppe had planned to fly to London today to start the next round of negotiations for Kane.

Indeed, the flights were already booked for 10am with a private Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft taking off from Oberpfaffenhofen, a private airport in Bavaria, and landing in London before returning to Germany in the evening.

However, nothing came of the meeting, with Daniel Levy and Dreesen agreeing to postpone the appointment until the beginning of next week.

Bayern accepted the proposal as they want to keep relations with Tottenham sweet and believe that, with a transfer of this magnitude, a ‘few days are not important’.

They consider Levy as a ‘tough negotiating fox’ and were not surprised by the last-minute cancellation, which is ‘typical’ of Levy’s tactics according to BILD’s sources in England.

They know Levy always ‘wants to be in total control’ of the situation and are fully prepared for a continued tough game of poker, perhaps until the end of the transfer window at the beginning of September.

We’re sure that’ll come as good news to Tottenham fans, who are already growing tired of the saga but may have to put up with it for a while yet regardless.
