Having been relegated from the Premier League earlier than most, Southampton have known for a while there will be a few changes to their squad this summer.

This ranges from long-term players leaving for greener pastures, but also extends to recent signings, bought to help avoid the drop, potentially exiting early to not play in the Championship.

Among those could be Kamaldeen Sulemana, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, as the Southampton January signing is a target for Juventus in Serie A.

The Italians are set to miss out on Champions League football after having 10 points deducted this season, and that means their budget will be a bit smaller than usual.

They could make that grow with some sales, but the newspaper make it clear that any incomings will have to be ‘affordable’ targets, meaning they can’t go overboard.

Amid the players listed, Southampton’s Sulemana is mentioned, perhaps with the knowledge that the 21-year-old will not want to play in the Championship next season.

The Saints spent €25m to get him from Rennes late in the winter transfer window, meaning they could look to recoup that if possible, but his tally of two goals in 18 games isn’t exactly what they were hoping for.

Something to keep an eye on.
