Leicester City will not be making an offer for youngster Dario Osorio before seeing him in the flesh, and they may be disappointed when they do.

That’s according to journalist Juan Cristóbal Guarello, who says three Bundesliga sides have already been put off a move for Osorio after watching him at the U20 World Cup.

Reports over the last week have linked Leicester with a move with Osorio, who currently plays for Club Universidad de Chile in his homeland.

The claim had been that the Foxes had pretty much wrapped up a deal for the 19-year-old to join them this summer, but that has since been pulled back and then some.

A report today indicated that Club Universidad were still waiting for Leicester to make a formal offer for the midfielder and that any transfer was complicated at this moment in time.

Guarello now follows that up and insists no club, Leicester included, will be making any moves for the player until they’ve had a chance to look at his properly.

“I showed Tigre (Victor Cruces, his partner on the panel) the conversation of a scout who works with German teams, a Peruvian,” he said.

“He named them by name and surname, from Freiburg, Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund, because they went to see him at the South American. They were devastated, angry, because they were sold one thing and given something else.

“European teams are not going to buy a player just like that, if there is no backing. They are not going to throw $7m in the bin.

“In my opinion they’re not going to put that in (for him) If you have an offer, I want to see it, how much is it?”
