Kim Min-jae has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele during an interview with South Korean outlet Footballist.

The centre-back and the Frenchman were teammates at Napoli last season, where they won the Serie A title.

Last summer, Napoli took the Tottenham player on a loan deal with an option to buy but decided against making his stay permanent. The 26-year-old has already returned to the north London club and his future there still seems to be uncertain.

Min-jae, meanwhile, completed a move to Bayern Munich earlier this month. During a chat with Footballist, the defender was asked to share his views on Ndombele.

“I don’t know what he thinks of me, but I think he’s a very good player and a very good friend,” he said.

“His technique is very good, he doesn’t give the ball away, and if there’s two on him in training, he just pushes them aside. I know he has a bad image, but I can definitely see the advantages on the training ground.”

Tottenham reportedly paid €62m to sign the Frenchman from Lyon in 2019, but it hasn’t worked out well for them.

The midfielder’s struggles at the north London club saw them send him out on loan in the last 18 months.

Ndombele has two years left on his deal and it remains to be seen whether he’ll be part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at Tottenham or move elsewhere this summer.
