Manchester City have informed Bernardo Silva they will ‘reject every offer’ for him this summer and have no intention of letting him go.
That’s according to El Chiringuito, who says the Portuguese midfielder has been declared ‘non-transferable’ in this window.
(EDIT: It appears that El Chiringuito got this from A Bola in Portugal, who have an article from Tuesday night on their website stating the exact same thing, so it’s only fair we ascribe the information to the correct source.)
Manchester City have been undergoing something of a rebuild this summer, with Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez departing, and several other long-term players linked with exits.
That did not put an end to rumours of a potential exit, though, with reports making it clear that Silva remains on the list of options for the likes of Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona.
That’s been coupled with further reports that he would be happy to leave the Etihad if he can and try a new experience elsewhere after six years in Manchester.
It seems Manchester City have no intention of allowing that to happen, though, with Manu Sainz reporting that they’ve made that very clear to the player.
According to him, City have told Silva that they will ‘reject every offer’ for the player this summer and furthermore, have declared him ‘non-transferable’.
That should put an end to any rumours then, with City not even contemplating a departure and making that very clear to Silva and his entourage.
