Italian journalist Rino Cesarano has urged Mino Raiola to ‘intervene’ for Hirving Lozano at Napoli, suggesting a loan move to Everton as a solution to the forward’s problems.
Lozano arrived at Napoli in a club-record deal from PSV Eindhoven, with many expecting big things from the Mexican under Carlo Ancelotti.
However, his time in Italy has been nothing short of a disaster thus far, with him managing just three goals and two assists for the club so far.
That is not good value for money, and there have been numerous suggestions throughout the season that Napoli could look to cut their losses this summer.
Everton are one of the clubs who have been strongly linked, with Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti a known fan of the forward and Marcel Brands also the man who brought him to Europe with PSV Eindhoven.
They were heavily linked in the January transfer window, and Cesarano believes the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, should look to use them as a solution to his client’s struggles.
“It (struggling) happens with some young people coming from abroad,” he told Campania Sport on Canale 21, relayed by TuttoNapoli.
“Some don’t fit into Italian football, which is a bit different. I remember when Hoffer arrived that he was pushed to repeat good morning, but he was also struggling to repeat the simplest words.
“He was uncomfortable; he didn’t talk to his team-mates. Raiola has to intervene; maybe he can go to Everton on loan with a purchase option so as not to lose so much.
“Napoli’s management continue to have faith in the player because they followed him for a long time, but he didn’t settle down.
“Lozano also arrives because of the Aurelio Di Laurentiis’ desire to please Ancelotti.”
