La Liga side Valencia are reportedly closing in on signing Andreas Pereira from Manchester United on a loan deal.

According to Spanish outlet Superdeporte, club owner Peter Lim seems to have convinced José Mourinho to let the player move on a one-year spell.

The manager would have accepted that Pereira will have more minutes in Spain than in the Premier League, although it’s not the Portuguese boss who will have the last word.

Manchester United are still reluctant on letting the 21-year-old go, and that’s why the transfer is not done yet. The deal is said to be ‘complicated’, although it’s also said there’s some optimism from the Spanish side.

Andreas Pereira has already impressed in Spain last season, when he had a one-year spell at Granada. And despite being much used by José Mourinho during the preseason, he’s still to have a Premier League minute for Manchester United since his return to the club.

This all complete contradicts what Marca claimed on Wednesday, with the Spanish newspaper having things the opposite way.
