Belgian outlet DH today features a story on Charleroi striker Shamar Nicholson, who could soon be moving out of the Jupiler Pro League club.

With eight goals and three assists this season, he’s by far the team’s most productive player in attack, and that only increases the chances of a January transfer.

And when speaking of potential destinations for Nicholson, DH had to give a mention to Arsenal, whom the striker is a ‘big fan’ of.

The 25-year-old may not be on the Gunners’ level yet, because as written in the report, he ‘does not claim to be able to play’ there. Still, it’s said he ‘dreams’ of being in the Premier League.

Nicholson’s ‘ambitions’ to play out of Belgium are the main reason why a transfer is likely, and despite DH not making it clear who could bid for him in a near future, they say Charleroi are already looking for a replacement for the Jamaican player.

Given his wish of moving to England, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a Premier League club engaging in talks for him, as Arsenal still sounds like a distant dream.

It’s been reported this week that scouts from Everton, Southampton and also Rangers all scouted Charleroi’s match against Anderlecht on Saturday.
