CalcioNapoli24 cover their club very closely and have regular exclusives on potential transfers.

They won’t be too pleased with the one published on Wednesday morning.

It’s explained Napoli made an attempt on Sunday to agree a deal to sign Miguel Almiron before the winter market closes on Thursday.

Napoli directors contacted Almiron’s agent Daniel Campos to ask if they could start a move to sign the player. At that point the agent was clear, they were waiting for Newcastle United and would only consider Napoli and anyone else if that option wasn’t available.

Almiron’s agent is now said to have told Napoli that Newcastle have got themselves a deal, and the player is travelling to England today to go through his medical and sign a contract with the Premier League club.

It’s further confirmation for Newcastle and from a source which has nothing to gain from revealing their club has been snubbed.
