Cesc Fabregas to AC Milan is taking large steps to be the big story of the winter market.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Milan officials were in London last week to take care of several subjects, including a meeting with the former Manchester City and Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini.
They have no confirmation the club had talks for Cesc Fabregas, but take London trip as a direct hint that something could be happening.
The Spaniard’s name has gained strength after Riccardo Montolivo’s injury, which will leave the midfielder out for six months.
Milan are said to be more confident now, as they have a bigger financial support, and expect that keeping themselves in a high place of the Serie A table would make things easier for the signing. The reason for that is because they think they can convince Fabregas by having a European competition spot.
