Showing signs of improvement with a goal against Stoke after a very slow start to the season, few are those believing he was a one season wonder.

The 20-year-old forward, who scored 19 goals for the Red Devils last season, has only found the back of the net once in the 2016-17 season.

Blessed with obvious talent, Martial will be raring to go for the clash against Liverpool next Monday, the team he made a name for himself against on his debut last season for Manchester United.

And if you were, for some reason, doubting his potential, Bryan Dabo, who plays for Saint-Etienne in France, strongly disagrees with you.

image1Interviewed by France Football this week, the Ligue 1 midfielder was asked about the day he played with the most talented footballer he’d met

He said: “With France’s U21s, when I saw Anthony Martial, I thought I was watching Thierry Henry. Considering his age, all the things he was doing actually shocked me.”

And if you’re thinking ‘Ah, everyone compares him to Thierry Henry, it’s nothing new’, please understand that coming from Bryan Dabo, this is probably as big a praise as they come.

After all, he nearly named his son after the Arsenal legend.
