Tottenham Hotspur have joined Newcastle United in the chase for Atalanta’s Éderson.
That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who state the midfielder has managed to attract interest from the Premier League duo.
It’s said the situation is ‘between interest and confirmation’, which means the desire to take him is known but the efforts haven’t happened yet.
The 24-year-old is a key player under Gian Piero Gasperini and taking his ‘strategic value’ into account, La Dea have no plans to part ways with him, likely in the winter market. That’s all the report has to say about Newcastle and Tottenham.
Newcastle may have to sell their stars to improve their economic situation and Bruno Guimarães, who has a £100m release clause, is the one repeatedly rumoured to be an option.
Faced with this possibility, Eddie Howe’s side are looking for his successor and have their eyes set on his compatriot. The report states they could bet on Éderson, if the former Lyon man were to leave, either in January or next summer.
