Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Bruno Jordão has told Rádio Renascença that he aims to fight his way into Julen Lopetegui’s plans next season.

The midfielder has made five appearances since he arrived at Molineux from SC Braga in 2019.

Wolves sent the 24-year-old out on loan to Famalicão, Grasshopper and CD Santa Clara in the last three years.

Last season, Jordão was restricted to only 11 appearances with Santa Clara, who were relegated from the top flight.

The player will return to the Premier League side in the summer, where he has a deal until 2024. His aim now is to have some role at Wolves next season.

“I’m going back to Wolverhampton, I still have a contract, so I’m going to attack this last opportunity because it’s the last year of my contract and I hope it goes well. My goal is to play in the Premier League, play for Wolverhampton and grow every day,” he said.

Jordão hasn’t trained under Lopetegui’s orders and will have to impress the former Sevilla manager, if he’s to have any chance of representing the English club next season.

Should he fail to do so, Wolves would have to make a decision on Jordão’s future. With a deal expiring in 2024, the summer window will be their last big chance to earn a fee from his sale.
