Currently in international duty with Ecuador, Moises Caicedo has spoken to the local media regarding his time at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The midfielder, who had been loaned in the summer to Belgian side Beerschot, had his spell cut short and is now staying with the Seagulls for the rest of the season.

Now interviewed by El Canal Del Futbol, Caicedo talked about his search for more minutes, now looking forward to his next chances at Brighton.

“This time that I returned to Brighton I’m training very hard so that they take me into account,” said Caicedo (via Bola Vip).

“At Beerschot I did not win all the games, but I was very happy because I was playing and having minutes. I think that if a player is not playing, he is not happy and that’s why I’m trying very hard to be able to have minutes in Brighton.”

Caicedo also made it very clear that he’s happy to return to Brighton, as he now wishes to prove himself in the Premier League.

“I thanked God very much, because I see that my work is evolving. It gives me great joy that I return to one of the best leagues in the world.”

Moises Caicedo was signed from Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle on a €5m move in January 2021.

In his short time at Brighton, he struggled to have any playing time, having only made one appearance for the club.

That’s why the Seagulls chose to loan him out to Belgium, but after only 14 games for Beerschot this season, they decided to have him back in England.
