Brighton & Hove Albion signed Kacper Kozłowski from Pogoń Szczecin in the winter market and loaned him out to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the same window.

The 18-year-old returned to The Amex in the summer and after being left out of Graham Potter’s plans, the Seagulls sent him on season-long loan to Vitesse.

Kozłowski, who became the youngest ever player to represent at the European championship last summer, is yet to make an appearance for Brighton.

Łączy nas piłka, the official website of the Polish national team, interviewed the midfielder and asked him to rate his experience in the Eredivisie so far.

“It is too early for any definite conclusions; I have only played four games. For now, I consider the move to Vitesse a good move,” he said.

“Thomas Letsch bet on me from the beginning. However, the coach has just changed, Letsch left for VfL Bochum, he was replaced by Phillip Cocu. We will see what it will look like after returning from the staff. I hope to be able to say again in the future that the transfer to Arnhem was a good move.”

The teenager has already played in four different countries in his short career. The Brighton owned starlet has now admitted that constantly changing clubs doesn’t help his development.

When asked whether he needs stability in his career, Kozłowski explained: “Definitely. First of all, I need stability. It’s not easy to change environment every now and then, but it is known that if you are not playing, you have to look for a different path and I hope that now I have chosen the right one. I am on loan to Vitesse for a year and I think it was a good move. I really need a year of regular play.”

Brighton have seen Potter leave them for Chelsea and Roberto De Zerbi was appointed as his successor earlier this month, but the Poland international is unlikely to have a talk with the Premier League side’s new manager anytime soon.

“I haven’t spoken to the new Brighton coach yet. I think it will be closer to the end of my loan. For now, I’m in a different club, so it doesn’t make sense for the coach to bother with a player he can’t use right now,” he said.
