We’ve had a bit of a Moussa Sissoko overload on Tuesday, considering he appears to be talking to every possible outlet in France, but what he has to say is interesting, so we kind of have to cover it.

Already speaking to L’Equipe ahead of the next two World Cup qualifiers for France, the Tottenham midfielder has discussed many aspects of his situation, including how happy he is that Mauricio Pochettino kept faith in him when many didn’t.

Linked with numerous clubs abroad, the national team regular decided he would stay and fight for his spot in the Spurs team, which has recently paid off, starting five of their last seven games.

This should, hypothetically, put some of the transfer rumours to bed, although, speaking to FootMercato, Sissoko believes he’ll still be in the news come January, even if he won’t be paying attention to it.

He said: “I think we’ll talk about me. After that, it won’t change anything in my head. I’m calm. I know what I want, where I want to go. The rest won’t bother me. I won’t let it get to me at all”.

While his first season at White Hart Lane was quite difficult, the now Wembley faithful will be glad to hear one of they regulars isn’t looking for a way out of the club.

Even a project like Marseille’s, which he describes as ‘possibly interesting’, won’t distract him because he isn’t one of their players: “I’m fully focused on Tottenham”.
