Huddersfield Town are about to get a bit of money, if L’Equipe in France are to be believed, as Udinese are on the verge of signing Etienne Camara.

The 20-year-old has been with the Championship side since his arrive from Angers SCO in 2020, and has grown through the ranks over the years.

He made his breakthrough in the first-team last season, appearing 20 times in the league for Huddersfield, and clearly impressed the Serie A side.

L’Equipe reveal the young midfielder, who represented his country during the last U20 World Cup in Argentina, will sign for Udinese for the next five years.

In fact, the player will ‘undergo his medical’ on Wednesday afternoon, and his new club will pay Huddersfield a sum of €1.5m to acquire his services.

It does seem like a low amount for quite a promising player, but it’s clear he wasn’t in the immediate plans of Neil Warnock at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Prior to his move to Angers SCO in 2019, he represented US Torcy between 2009 and 2019, which is where he caught the eye of the now relegated former Ligue 1 side.
