Even though it’s fair to say that Bayern Munich deserved the 4-3 win against Manchester United in the Champions League last night, there were still some positive details to be taken out from the Red Devils’ performance.

That has to do with the two late goals scored by the English side, both by Casemiro. The midfielder led the team to have hope of finding an equaliser, and after the game, analyse that they could’ve done much better against the Bundesliga giants.

TNT Sports managed to have word with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag after the match, and one of the questions was about the Brazilian’s performance.

Journalist Arthur Quezada asked the manager about Casemiro’s influence on the team, and the coach agreed that he’s a player who inspires the rest of the squad.

“He’s the one. I’ve just mentioned, you have to stay in the game. You have to show the leadership in those moments when the team have difficult moments, difficult occasions, and we have to survive,” Erik ten Hag told TNT Sports.

“All the players can be with him. He shows the example that all the players follow. That’s Casemiro. In the end, he scored two goals.”

Casemiro has been having questionable performances for Manchester United and Brazil this season, but his mentality undoubtedly remains something to loop up to.

The midfielder continues to be one of Ten Hag’s trusted players, having started in all the Red Devils’ games this season.
