The transfer of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham Hotspur to Juventus may obviously sound like a complex operation for the Bianconeri, but that’s not how the Italian media sometimes treats it.

As newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today features a piece about the signings the Old Lady are expecting to make in January to ‘raise the level’, the Spurs midfielder is on the list.

Juventus are set to do everything to ‘score a couple of coups’, especially for their midfield, where they need refinements following the suspensions of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Hojbjerg is among the ‘different options’ they have for the winter market, with the Tottenham player seen as one of the quick fixes available in the January window.

Well, it’s worth pointing out that the player stayed on the pitch for the 90 minutes in Spurs’ win over Fulham on Monday, and was also heavily praised by manager Ange Postecoglou.

In addition there’s the Africa Cup of Nations on the way, which only makes Hojbjerg more important for Tottenham’s midfield.

Juventus should clearly come up with a very attractive bid to convince Spurs of a deal, but considering the way the Italian media has been speaking of quick fixes, it looks more like they’re going after easy signings. So they may get frustrated once they sit to negotiate with the London club.
