At the end of the January transfer window, it seemed like Divock Origi’s loan spell at Nottingham Forest would come to an end, as Los Angeles FC were close to landing him from his parent club AC Milan.

The Tricky Trees were blocking the deal, given Chris Wood’s injury, and that may have had a huge impact on the Belgian’s future.

Origi scored his first goal for Nottingham Forest this week, in the FA Cup tie against Bristol City. Now Milan Live features a story to explain that he ‘relaunches himself’ with that.

It’s said that by the end of the season, there’ll ‘certainly be a goodbye to Milan’, who no longer want him at the club, and this goal ‘could also change the future’.

Milan Live claim Origi may now start having more chances to play for Nottingham Forest, and that should impact on the clubs that will want him next summer.

On Thursday, reports from Italy suggested that the Reds don’t want to spend €4.5m on his purchase, but there’s a long way to go, and enough time for him to prove himself.
