Everton loanee Yannick Bolasie is returning to the club at the end of the season, his agent has confirmed.
The winger has been having a loan spell at Lisbon side Sporting, where he’s had two goals and five assists in 25 appearances so far.
And when speaking to Portuguese newspaper Record today, Jwtiar Khalid Rahman has claimed that the spell isn’t being extended or turned into a permanent move.
“It looks like he’s leaving Sporting,” the agent told Record. “For now it’s difficult to say, because it’s all frozen. But we should get back to Everton.”
The agent still claimed that “Bolasie is happy at Sporting, and it’s important that the fans know that”.
But Record writes that the player’s wish isn’t enough. The Lions even have the chance of making the move permanent by triggering the €4.5m buying option, but that looks unlikely now.
The outlet points out that Bolasie’s contract with Everton expires in 2021, so this should be a very important summer for his future to be sorted.
