On Friday we covered claims from De Telegraaf that Fulham are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jetro Willems. The player is one of several left backs being linked with the Premier League club at the moment.

De Telegraaf reported Fulham had asked Frabkfurt to name their price for the player, with the Dutch newspaper adding it’s been a dream of Willems’ to play in the top flight of English football.

German newspaper Bild have now picked up the case, and they report, according to their own information: ‘a double-digit million transfer is in the room’

Willems agent Sigi Lens is said to have told Dutch website Voetbol Primeur: “It’s moving in. I cannot say more than that yet.”

Frankfurt’s sport director is quoted as saying: “It’s the question of which alternatives you have. How can you compensate for a departure and what fee do you get? That’s why we’re not concerned with that.”

AS Roma are also said to be interested, but Willems’ Premier League dream is once again outlined, and Bild point out he’s big buddies with Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

This one sounds very much like it has quite a bit to it for Fulham, and now it remains to be seen if the two clubs can agree a fee.
