It seems Fulham are now one of the candidates to sign Rodrigo Moreno from Leeds United this summer.

Before we get into this story, we better recall a report from Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade a week ago. Back then, it was said the striker was ‘close to leaving’ Elland Road for Qatar, where Al Rayyan were working to sign him, despite competition from England and Spain.

Now as the same reporter comes back with an update today, it’s revealed that Fulham are in the battle for the Leeds star as well.

Bruno Andrade writes that Al Rayyan ‘remain confident’ in their quest for the signing, but are now ‘aware’ that the player is targeted by the Craven Cottage side as well.

There’s no information on whether Fulham are already in talks for the signing, or if they already submitted a bid, or even if they can compete with the Qatari club for the transfer.

Rodrigo’s contract with Leeds expires next year, so this could be a good time for a sale. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €6m.
