This week has seen a few claims emerge regarding a possible Mauricio Pochettino return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Spurs appointed Jose Mourinho as the Argentine’s successor on the day Pochettino was shown the door, yet the Portuguese coach wasn’t able to have the impact required and is now preparing for life at PSG.

Taking over at PSG, the former Spurs boss failed to win the Ligue 1 title, which certainly won’t be what was expected by sporting director Leonardo.

Tottenham’s search for a new permanent coach hasn’t looked smooth from the outside, with no candidate standing out head and shoulders above the rest. Plenty have been linked, however, none has been grasped by supporters quite as much as a Pochettino return.

Claims about the manager potentially going back to his former club have been picked up in France, where TF1’s Julien Maynard backs up claims of Pochettino being in talks with Tottenham, and states he’s keen on the job.

He also states the South American has been ‘disappointed’ with some aspects of his life at PSG, however, the club don’t want to let him go.
