As well as Antony, various members of the Dutch media have made it clear that Manchester United are targeting Cody Gakpo.

The PSV Eindhoven star has been mentioned a lot of late as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his attack, and there was even a belief the Red Devils could sign both the Brazilian and the Dutchman.

Well, Foot Mercato in France have an update on the latter, explaining that Gakpo himself ‘really wants to go’ to Manchester United, who could ‘put forward an amount of around €40-50m’ for the forward.

In fact, a source within the English club is said to be ‘confident’ about the signing of the player, who has the same agent as Erik ten Hag.

Firstly, however, PSV want to keep Gakpo until after the game against Rangers, which will decide whether or not the Eredivisie side play in this season’s Champions League.

The outcome of the game doesn’t seem important at this stage, but they certainly have a better shot of reaching the group stages with their star player in the squad for that game than without.
