Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is fine to play for Argentina in the international break, according to reports from the country.

On Monday morning, when the player landed in Buenos Aires, it was reported by the local media that he was ‘in pain’ and would be evaluated by national team doctors.

Now TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul comes up to Twitter to say Martinez is ‘fine’.

It’s said the examinations concluded that the Manchester United player does not have an injury, and should now be fit for the upcoming challenges.

With the player being subbed off during the match against Arsenal at the weekend, the Argentine media had claimed he was in pain because of the same injury he had last season.

Now this update should bring some relief to Manchester United fans, who are already missing the likes of Raphael Varane, Mason Mount and Luke Shaw.

We shall just wait and see whether Martinez will play in Argentina’s match against Ecuador on Thursday, or if he’ll be given some rest until Lionel Scaloni brings him to the team.
