Former Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler hopes Garry Monk can be a success at the club after arriving at Elland Road in the summer. Monk has so far had a difficult time since taking the Leeds United job, and yesterday suffered another defeat in the league.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Rosler said Leeds United have spent quite a bit in the last transfer window, and wishes them luck for this season. The Fleetwood Town boss revealed he is hoping Monk can make it at Leeds United because a club like that deserves it.

“Leeds is a fantastic club, with fantastic support. For this season they have obviously invested heavily, so good luck to them, and I hope Garry can make it,” said Rosler on his old club.

Monk is already under pressure following the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town yesterday, a result which leaves Leeds United 21st in the league. The Championship side have won just once in their opening six league games, and are already trailing the leaders by ten points.
