Brentford signing Kevin Schade has been backed to be worth €60m one day as he has “everything it takes” to become a top player.

That’s according to former teammate Nils Petersen, who has hailed the January signing as a potential star of the future.

Schade completed a move to Brentford earlier this month, signing on loan until the end of the season from SC Freiburg.

That deal is likely to become a permanent one in the summer, with it including a mandatory purchase clause for Brentford should certain criteria be met.

It remains to be seen if Schade proves to be a hit for Thomas Frank’s side but there is certainly every confidence he will, with Brentford very much a club who have a talent of developing players.

Schade will be hoping to benefit from that, and his former teammate believes he will, backing the 21-year-old to go to the very top.

“For me, the transfer makes total sense. He can end up worth €60m someday because he has total ability, jumping power and speed,” he told Kicker.

“When we did runs after the games, he took five metres off me at the turnaround. Then I thought: I don’t believe it, where has he gone now?

“With him, I immediately said: He has everything it takes to become a great player.”
