As the Brazilian media speaks of Vitor Roque’s future, Arsenal remain being labelled as one of the potential destinations for the youngsters.

The Gunners are now mentioned in a story from Globo Esporte, who, this week, had been featuring a series of reports about the player.

Speaking of interested clubs, they claim that Arsenal, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea have all shown interest in the 18-year-old already.

But it’s Barcelona who are said to be pushing harder, with Globo Esporte saying the Camp Nou side are prepared to spend a lot of money on his signing.

Vitor Roque was asked about this interest from Barça, but it sounds like he didn’t want to close the doors to other clubs, claiming it’d be a dream to play for any European side.

“I try to do my best at Athletico. I know that Barcelona are interested, and other clubs too. But I want to focus here, I have a contract until 2027. I’m doing my best here, and who knows if it’s good for Athletico, for me, for my family, a transfer will happen,” Vitor Roque told Globo Esporte.

“It’s a huge club, which all children dream of playing for, not only for Barcelona, but for European clubs. Every child has this dream. But it’s a club that always gives opportunity to the academy kids, it’s different”

It’s been months since Arsenal started getting linked to the Athletico Paranaense star, with claims saying Edu Gaspar already got in touch to get his signing done.

According to Globo Esporte, Athletico Paranaense will demand at least €60m to let the youngster go.
