Arriving from Olympiakos in 2015 after a successful loan spell with Everton’s reserves, David Henen is now allegedly looking for a way out from the Merseyside club.

Needing to properly launch his career, Walfoot report the young forward is likely to leave in January, with the south of France the most likely destination.

The Belgian website report Nice have already made contact with his agent, looking to continue their tradition of bringing in young players to the club.

They aren’t the only club, however, with surprise overachievers Toulouse also expressing some interest, wanting to add a player of Henen’s profile to their frontline, having lost Wissam Ben Yedder in the summer to Sevilla.

Walfoot continue by explaining the 20-year-old is expected to have a lot of offers come January, with his main criteria when choosing being some guaranteed time on the pitch with the first team, as well as a good environment to develop as a player.

The young forward was sent out on loan to Fleetwood Town last season, where he made 13 appearances for the League One club, scoring one goal.

He has also made 33 appearances for Everton’s U23s, scoring six goals and picking up four assists.
