Are you a Serie A footballer and haven’t been linked with a move to Everton in recent months? If so, you may need to have a word with your agent.
Since Carlo Ancelotti moved to the Premier League club, the Toffees have been linked with more than twenty players from Serie A, with there being stories every day in the Italian media.
Some of the links look to be part of hyping players and helping them get new contracts or smoke out interest from elsewhere. Of course, some of the claims of interest will be genuine and that’s felt the way with several options, including Napoli’s Allan.
SportMediaSet now bring another name into the picture: Daniel Maldini.
They made the claims at the weekend, and the news has since travelled around the Italian media having little aspects added.
SportMediaSet reported Everton have repeatedly asked about signing Maldini ‘in recent months’, and keep getting ‘negative’ answers from AC Milan, which don’t seem to be discouraging them.
Maldini, the son of AC Milan legend Paolo, is an 18 year old attacking midfielder, who has played for Italy at U18 and U19 level.
