Everton ‘seem ready to return to the charge’ for Udinese striker Beto after making an ‘important offer’ during the January transfer window.

That’s according to Tutto Udinese, who explain how the Italian club are expecting a major overhaul of their forward line in this summer transfer window.

Beto is expected to depart as he is the ‘most wanted striker’ after impressing in Serie A in the last two years.

Everton were keen on him in the winter window and made an offer late on as they desperately tried to secure a striker, but that was rejected by both parties.

The Toffees are now ready to make a second bid to get their man and bolster Sean Dyche’s squad but there is also ‘concrete interest’ from other clubs.

Thus, Beto’s destiny is yet to be written, although the feeling at the moment is that he is one of the ‘most likely candidates’ to leave the club in the coming weeks and months.

Whether he ends up at Goodison Park remains to be seen but this report, as with several others from Italy regarding Everton’s interest, seems to be more in hope than expectation at this moment in time.

Given Everton’s well publicised financial problems and issues with Financial Fair Play, it seems unlikely that they’ll be spending on anyone anytime soon.

In fact, the reality is that they probably need a big sale before they can do any business and that is yet to happen so a return to the charge for Beto is unlikely.
