When a striker scores 41 goals in his first two seasons in the Championship, some Premier League clubs tend to take notice, and that’s exactly what’s happened with Joël Piroe at Swansea City.

We’ve already covered claims that an offer from Leicester City has arrived for the Dutchman, but the latest from Italy, where Salernitana are keen, reveals that Everton and Nottingham Forest are also interested.

This comes from Tutto Salernitana as an exclusive, who cover the story from the angle that the striker is slipping away from the Serie A side, as the Toffees and the City Ground residents are interested in the Swansea star.

The Italian club have been trying to get a deal done for a while, but ‘an agreement has not been found’, as they want a loan with an option to buy, while the Swans want to sell.

Meanwhile, Tutto Salernitana have learned that Everton and Nottingham Forest have ‘fallen on the footballer’, and both Premier League sides could put ‘on the plate’ the amount requested by Swansea.

Not only that, but the Toffees and the Tricky Trees could also offer him an ‘important contract’, meaning that if Salernitana don’t move in the next few days, they could risk losing out on him.

Both Everton and Nottingham Forest will be wanting more goals in their team next season in a bid to avoid being in a relegation fight once again, and it seems they feel Piroe could be the affordable way to get those.
