It’s fair to say that since arriving from Manchester United, Morgan Schneiderlin hasn’t exactly impressed at Everton.
The defensive midfielder has yet to win the fans over with his performances, which is impressive considering he’s already appeared 50 times for the Toffees.
At 28 years of age, the 15 times capped France international knows this could be his last time to get one last big transfer before age catches up with him, and if he does, he knows where he doesn’t want to go.
He told beIN Sports, relayed by Foot Marseille: “If I have to leave Everton, I’d like a different challenge than the Premier League. I’ve already been to Southampton, Manchester United and Everton. I don’t see myself going anywhere else in England”.
Two names immediately came up.
He continued: “Since I come from there, I keep an eye on Racing Club Strasbourg, but when I was younger, I always supported Marseille”.
With Luis Gustavo and Frank Zambo Anguissa already at the club, that area of the pitch isn’t exactly the Ligue 1 club’s priority, and a lot would depend on how much he would cost.
Seeing as he has three years left on his contract with Everton and they paid upwards of £20m for him a year or so ago, he might be a bit out of their price range.
