Olympique Lyon are keen on signing Everton loanee Arnaut Danjuma this month and he is ‘seduced’ by the idea of the move.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say that after completing deals for Botafogo duo Lucas Perri and Adryelson, further negotiations are now underway for reinforcements.

They want at least one winger and Everton’s Arnaut Danjuma is one of the names on their list. They ‘really like’ the Dutchman, who is currently on loan at Goodison Park from Villarreal.

The French side want a loan deal with a purchase option valued at no more than €15m but if such a deal can’t be secured, they’ll instead just ask for a six-month loan deal.

They’re working on the matter and things are ‘progressing behind the scenes’, boosted by the fact Danjuma is ‘seduced’ by the idea of making the move.

He sees it as a great opportunity to find a club who can offer him a starting place and score some points with Ronald Koeman’s Netherland’s squad ahead of Euro 2024.

The ball, though, isn’t necessarily in their court as Everton would have to agree to break the loan first. For now, they hold all the power, and an agreement would have to be reached with Villarreal before he could then go to Lyon.

The French side are pushing nonetheless, boosted by the fact that they player is already won over and keen on the switch this month.
