Juventus have ‘closed the deal’ for Moise Kean, who is set to return from Everton after an acceleration in talks this morning.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who say contacts between Everton and Juventus have ‘defined every detail’ of the striker’s return.

After that meeting, which was presumably very positive, Juventus put Kean at the top of their wishlist as they look to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

The operation has been closed in the form of a two-year loan with an obligation to buy at the end of it for €25m in 2023.

Kean will sign a five-year deal with the Italian giants and is now expected in Turin at some point this weekend to undergo a medical and finalise his return.

There is no mention of whether Juventus will be paying Everton a loan fee or how Kean’s wages will be paid during the loan, but it seems the move is a permanent one in all but name.

The only hint there could be a threat to that is Calciomercato saying the clause is conditional on Juventus qualifying for the Champions League in the second season.

How that works for Everton in terms of FFP remains to be seen, although it will presumably free up funds for them to push for a replacement in the final days of the transfer window.
