On Thursday morning, Brazilian outlet UOL first reported Everton’s pursuit for Red Bull Bragantino midfielder Eric Ramires.

Not bringing many details about the chase, it was claimed that the Toffees are interested in the player and are now studying the signing. With no prices mentioned, it was only claimed his club are not willing to let their players go for low amounts.

It turns out this chase is now reported by Globo Esporte. They managed to confirm that Everton are keen on the player and learned something about this contact.

According to their report, there was a request made by Red Bull Bragantino, and the demand was considered ‘high’ by the Toffees.

A reason why Bragantino won’t make his departure easy is that he was permanently signed just a few months ago. He first joined the club on a loan from Bahia, and was then bought in January on a fee of around €1.85m.

So now with a contract running until December 2026, there’s no rush to sell him.
